Predictable Stupidities

Apple released its latest invention the “iPad“, which could easily be counted as one of the most hyped up and most anticipated launch since 10 years of speculation. Indeed, its a game changer and besides the many (as usual) missing features in release 1  & some other including the PMS’d name, it continues to grab attention of the whole media & stock markets around the world. Since the launch date, the love and hate text is pouring in at an unprecedented rate. I think like its cousins, iPhone and iPod Touch, the iPad is going to be stellar success and amongst its genre will be the best performer. On the same topic, if I have to pick a tablet / slate PC, why iPad is the best buy? Here is why!

• The form factor is really crafted to perfection. Indeed it must have taken 10 years or so to come to a conclusion that 9.7 inches it is. Like Apple says it, the iPad is designed to be a perfect web and media experience, I can see many hours of joy coming.
• There are many times when your old Macbook is an overkill and the small screen of iPhone/Blackberry are too small to give that experience such as reading up on the latest on your favorite TV show while at it. I can clearly see an iPad with its advantages in that area.
• The iPad is a convergence devise yet powerful enough to fully enjoy the benefits of the Web and chores associated with a net-centric social life.
• I haven’t yet joined the eReader club and would like to start with the fantastic iBook store from Apple.
• Lastly, I must confess there also is certain brand loyalty involved in the decision. But that just didn’t happen on its own. Apple has made sure to make me purchase their products as I can rely on them.

I have been following on the iPad release on all the major blogs and sites, but I think the most well written reviews and insights are on Arstechnica. Indeed, the iPad has many short comings like the missing camera, well I’ll say darn it, there are many gizmo’s you like to have but hardly use them. A little comparison, I’ve been blessed by a little angel baby girl and I was thinking, how come God missed to fix the burp issue in new born’s. Have you taken up this issue with God?
